Reasonable chance of ignition wires, (maybe cap and rotor if it has them) failing. I had an '82 Honda that did that and the rain was shorting out the battery when it splashed up. If I disconnected the battery everytime I stopped, I didn't have a problem. I finely took it to a mechanic to fix it.

∙ 16y agoSome cars are designed to run under water. I you don't have a snorkle, and ignition parts get wet, the spark will get shorted and won't get to the spark plugs. In this condition, it won't start.

∙ 9y agoIf your car won't start every time it rains, water may be shorting out wires or it may be getting into the fuel system. Both will prevent the engine from cranking or starting.

Try wiggling the starter solenoid wire. My 91 after so many random starts did/does this and cleaning/tightning the terminal clip works every time.
