I would not recommend giving a guinea pig any younger than 3 months a bath.
Well, If you want you can be there to watch but the guinea pig does not need you and in fact DO NOT touch her or the babies, and try not to touch her when she is giving birth nor the babies until the next week.
It is fine to never bath your guinea pig. They dont need a bath because they clean themselves.
3-4 weeks before giving birth your guinea pig will put on a lot of wieght. She wil start to form a shape like a pear/bell.If your guinea pig is pregnant 2 weeks before giving birth you be able to feel the babies move.
leave them in peace and dont make noise allyson wrote this
yes, you should bathe your guinea pig once a month.
Yes, guinea pigs who have not been pregnant can still have teats.
Yes because there is the after birth from the guinea pig
no the mom guinea pig will lick and eat the outside of the newborn guinea pig and you will not half to dry it or anything, if you watch a hamster or guinea pig giving birth on youtube or something or any animal you will not half to dry it the mom does all the work. trust me.
A guinea pig can get pregnant again, a few hours after birth, so a guinea pig could breed tens of times in a lifetime. But there is a 20% chance a female guinea pig could die during, before or after birth, because of the stress, it has been given.
In that case, it will usually stay dead.
