You shouldn't need to give your cat a bath at all. Cats are very good at keeping themselves clean. However, if you must bathe a cat you should wait at least one week, but preferably two unless a vet tells you otherwise. You need to allow him to completely heal and that includes on the inside where we cannot see. If you bathe him too early, while struggling he may rip open an incision below the skin surface.
A cat should not bathe themselves after being neutered or spayed until their stitches are removed or dissolve.
Well, I know with dogs it's about 3 to 4 days, so it's probably the same with cats.
You should wait at least two weeks after the surgery before getting your dog wet. Contact the veterinarian who preformed the procedure to confirm this though.
Until the stitches come out
Never. You do not bath cats.
Leave the cat alone to heal.
Wait 1 week.
I am holding a sidewalk sale so that I can afford to neuter my cat.
You spay a female dog and cat, you neuter a male dog and cat.
I should imagine so, but it is advisable to get a veterinarian to neuter the cat.
Spay is the sterilization of female animals. (Removal of uterus) Neuter is the sterilization of male animals. (Removal of testicles)
Spay and neuter your cats and that won't happen!
NO! You have to spay or neuter your cat.
Desex is a bad version of the word "neuter."
Yes, a cat can be spayed when it is in heat. It will cost more and it is a riskier operation.
Usually yes. In many varieties of cat, the head of a male cat will widen as he reaches sexual maturity. If you neuter a cat before he reaches full maturity, the necessary set of hormones to promote that growth will not be produced and the cat's head will not widen.
No - it could be an infection. Call the vet.
It depends where you go. My neighbour recently had her tom-cat neutered by the PDSA - and it cost her £26.
