This is open to debate.

Generally, there is no limit on when you can get your dog spayed, because spaying them will lengthen their life (scientifically proven).

However some vets will advise against it if your dog is elderly, because it could have complications during the procedure. But, generally, it is never too late. Ask your vet for their opinion.

Any surgery after 12 years of age can be dangerous but the problems involved with diseases with female organs can be more dangerous.

It depends on your dog's overall health, your Vet. can run blood test to judge the risk & give you an answer then. If she's old I wouldn't do it without the test.
