In May of 1883 when he was only 13 years old.

When he was 13 years old, and his parents chose who he married. The lucky women he marreid was Kasturba Gandhi. His wife was just like him in a way. She helped him through his protests and also made some protests herself. They both went to jail many times because of their protests. Kasturba died in jail with pnaumonia and refused penicilyne from her husband. She died in husband's arms.
