The Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear bomb ever detonated, was tested by the Soviet Union on October 30, 1961. It had a yield of approximately 50 megatons and was detonated above the Arctic Circle.
October 30, 1961
I assume you mean "Soviet bomb" - The Tsar Bomba (Царь-бомба) was detonated on October 30, 1961, in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. It was the largest, most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated.
The largest atomic bomb ever built, or detonated, was the Tsar Bomb (????-?????) RDS-220 code named "Ivan" by the Soviet Union. Originally built as a 100 MegaTon (100,000,000 ton) three stage Hydrogen bomb, it was changed to 50 MegaTon to limit fallout. Detonated on October 30th, 1961. Caveat: This information is based upon public information and releases, if there is a larger bomb it was never disclosed to the public in any fasion.
It is not , if it is not detonated and it is properly maintained.
The Tsar Bomba by USSR or Russia.
Absolutely, Edward Teller developed plans that were never built for a 10GTon h-bomb. The Tsar Bomba itself was designed for 100MTon yield but then only tested with enough fuel in the casing for roughly 50MTon yield. Why test at full yield when all you really need to prove is capability of ignition.
Tsar Bomba was a hydrogen bomb which was actually detonated and not dropped. The test was held on October 30,1961. Tsar Bomba was the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated.

yes, both
The 50 Megaton "Tsar Bomba" hydrogen bomb tested by the USSR in 1961 is the strongest hydrogen bomb ever detonated. The 10 Megaton "Ivy Mike" hydrogen bomb tested by the U.S. in 1952 is the physically largest hydrogen bomb ever detonated.
No its actually the TACTICAL NUKE jk no its really the Tsar Bomb AN602 hydrogen bomb most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated. Weight=60,000lbs, Length=26ft.
The biggest bomb that was ever detonated was the Tsar Bomba. It was 50 megatons which is 500,000 kilotons which is 50 million tons of TNT. It was detonated just to show other countrys how advanced Russia was. There is a mock bomb stored in Chelyabinsk-70 for display. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba For more information.
The most powerful nuclear weapon detonated was the Tsar Bomb which was a 50 megaton thermo-nuclear bomb that was tested in October 30, 1961, in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago
Russia currently owns the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world. Also Russia made and detonated the biggest nuclear bomb in history called the Tsar bomb.
The largest nuclear bomb ever detonated was the Soviet Union's Tsar Bomba in 1961, which had a yield of 50 megatons. It was the most powerful nuclear weapon ever created and tested.
During the Cold War, Russia created the "Czar" - a nuclear weapon named Царь-бомба in Russian ("Tsar' Bomba" - Czar Bomb). Detonated in Siberia, Russia, it became the largest bomb ever detonated. The blast yield was equivalent to 50 megatons of TNT, which was actually reduced from 100 megatons to reduce the fallout from the explosion.
Interesting question. Not sure it could be determined except by either doing it or running a simulation on one of Los Alamos's or Livermore's SuperComputers.
YES
