The first really concerted effort to establish race as a way of telling if people were actually superior or inferior was used by the Nazi's However this type of thinking was also encouraged by Slave traders and slave owners. In any case xenophobia has always been with us even to the days when it was simply as a result of the competition between two tribes that lived close together. Racism is used by exploiters as an excuse to abuse others usually for financial gain. when wealth can be generated as a result of turning part of your population into working cattle you would be surprised how many people can see the sound reasoning behind it.

Racism begins when you start looking at the color attribute of a fellow human being. This will make you hate and discriminate against that person or grant that person favors at the expense of other individuals from a different race. However, colour differences between people are not the only casues of racism. For example, there was no colour difference between Hitler and the Jews but that was a massive scale of racism. Racism is defined as discrimination against someone of a different race, whether that means that the colour of their skin is different or the same as you. you could olve it

This is a funny question......I do not mean that in an insulting manner. Since the beginning of time people have disliked anything different and or resist any kind of change. In the US Italians were spit on when getting off the boat onto the piers. The Irish were thrown into ghettos that were so bad they made Harlem look like Utopia. But to answer your question and this is why it is funny. Before anyone really had a chance at discriminating against African Americans, the first were the American Indian of course but the second deep seeded hate came between the Northern States and the Southern States. Because blacks were still a commodity and not a free people yet Northerners and Southerners while being some from the same kin were viewed as seperate. But in all reality the first Racism really started with the American Indian. People hated what they feared or could not understand.

Racism occured when people of different places began to introduce themselves to each other and this was thousands of years ago, long before civilizations began. Racism started everywhere where there was a line between different looking people. For instance, Many think that Europeans and Africans developed racism because of slavery and oppression, but it exisited much earlier than that. It is the differences on the outside that created this fear or sickness, yet ultimately every human being is fundamentally the same.
