There were or are several "super" volcanoes. These are not called this by people who study volcanoes. The following had VEI-8 eruptions with massive events:
Lake Toba in Sumatra (It is thought by some that this caused our human species to be nearly wiped out.)
Yellowstone in Idaho and Wyoming (has had 4 VEI-8 eruptions)
Pacana Caldera in Chile
Taupo in New Zealand (has had at least 2)
Glencoe in Scotland, Cerro Galan in Argentina
La Garita Caldera in Colorado.
Below is a list of VEI-8-6:
There are several super volcanoes in the world
It is a super volcano, which is basically super big and super powerful
super fast
A typical volcano lies on the destructive plate margins. Super volcanoes are not; they're kind of placed randomly in the middle of plates.
volcanoes are in everywhere but you will find it now
Volcanoes are large formations that having an opening where gases and lava can escape out of the Earth's magma chamber. Some types of volcanoes are shield volcanoes, super volcanoes, and mud volcanoes. The largest volcano based on height is Tamu Massif.
