Surprisingly, the UK has the highest number of reported tornadoes for its land area of any country in the world.
However - Tornado Alley in the U.S.A reports the greatest number of tornadoes overall.
According to the page at the link to the bottom of this post, most tornadoes occur in the central states in the USA. These states have been nicknamed "Tornado Alley." Other than the USA, places where tornadoes tend to occur are Western Europe and Eastern India. There's a map on this page which gives a graphical representation of where tornadoes occur, globally. http://library.thinkquest.org/03oct/01424/where_do_tornadoes_occur.htm
The most common places tornadoes happen in America is Tornado Alley. Tornado Alley is made up of four states. the states that make up Tornado Alley is Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. they all spell out TOM K.
Violent tornadoes are most common on the central plains of the U.S. in a region called Tornado Alley, and in the deep south.
Tornadoes are most likely to happen in warmer climates because warm air has more energy than cold air. It is that energy that powers the thunderstorms that produce tornadoes.
No. Tornadoes are too numerous and happen too quickly to be named. Instead tornadoes are usually referred to by the places they hit, such as the Oklahoma City tornado or the Tuscaloosa, Alabama tornado. The only types of storms named are tropical cyclones (e.g. hurricanes).
Tornadoes can actually happen in any part of the world. They're caused by certain properties of our atmosphere that produce turbulence. Certain parts of the world have consistent conditions which are conducive to this atmospheric turbulence. The American Midwest is the most tornado-prone area in the world.
Yes, All 50 states have had tornadoes though they are rare in many places

They happen around America and Texas (USA). Ohio and many places windy and rainy.
Tornadoes happen anywhere that thunderstorms can form. However, there are particular regions, such as the Great Plains, where they are more common than in other places.

No there aren't tornadoes in Jakarta but, there are earthquakes. They are very rare but do happen.- me and my family were in one when we lived there!!! It is close to many places with active volcanos- and has a few on the outskirts of Jakarta but eruptions are not that common.
That depends on what you mean by "mini tornado" as it has no real definition. If you mean small, weak tornadoes, then yes. Even in areas prone to large tornadoes, the smaller ones will still be in the majority. However, weak tornadoes are rarely heavily covered unless they strike in places not not normally associated with tornadoes.
Tornadoes are most likely to happen in warmer climates because warm air has more energy than cold air. It is that energy that powers the thunderstorms that produce tornadoes.
Tornadoes can hit just about anywhere that there are thunderstorms. The Majority of recorded tornadoes strike in the U.S. This statistic is misleading, however as many countries do not keep official records of tornadoes.
Same reason all other places have tornadoes. They can occur in all 50 states. In Michigan, they are most common in lower MI.
