The name Jehovah appears alone, or accompanied by his title "God," as in "Jehovah God," throughout the ancient manuscripts of the scriptures.
There are three instances where the name Jehovah is accompanied by another word used with it.
One is found in the case of the name "Jehovah-jireh" in Genesis chapter 22. This is what Abraham named the place where he found the ram caught in a thicket which he sacripficed up to God, instead of his son, Isaac.
Another is the name Jehovah-shalom. This was the name that Gideon gave to an alter he built to God. (Judges 6:24)
A third is the name Jehovah-nissi. This is found at Exodus 17:15. This is the name that Moses gave to an alter that he built.
In a few places, the abreviated form of the devine name, "Jah" appears in the ancient manuscripts, and in one place, Isaiah 12:2, abreviated "Jah" appears directly before the long form "Jehovah," as in "Jah Jehovah."
There are Bible names and words that have God's name incorporated into them, such as, the word "Hallelujah" which means "Praise Jah."
