Many of the ringtone sites are based outside the U.S, most of them will NOT work with your phone and/or wireless provider.
Ringtones are protected by copyrights. the artist is due a royalty for use of their work. If you download ringtones, check that the web site is paying copyright fees to the copyright owners, it will clearly say on the home page that they have secured all the necessary rights to distribute the music in the form of a ringtone. Ringtone sites that pirate music don't pay copyright fees and still charge a fee to their users and are now targeted for music industry lawsuits.
Truly free ringtones are in public domain, and free of copyrights.
Be aware of deceptive ads offering ringtones for free - the ads in question offers one free ring tone to cell phone customers who respond to ads via text message, but fail to inform users that they would be subscribed to a monthly service

Some of the best selection can be found on the website of your cell service provider, or iTunes has some free and pay tones as well.

You got a new phone and have a myxer tones account and they don't list the type of phone you have so you can't send ringtones to your new phone help?
ringtones on myxer work for any phone so jus download it, i don't recall having to chose my type of phone for a ringtone either.
When did dial up change to high speed?
Dial up did not change to high speed. This may have been a misunderstanding of DSL. This refers to connecting to either a network, or most likely the Internet, using an analog modem over a standard analog phone line. It is also called dial-up networking or dial-up Internet. Analog modems transfer data by taking binary bit values of data from a computer or networked node and transmit them by pulses of sound over standard analog phone lines. The term modem represents the MODulation and DEModulation from digital to analog. The modem first sends either pulse or tone (DTMF) dialing to ring the receiving line, then both modems use tones to negotiate compatible communications, then enter into a steady stream of data transmission. Analog modems most popularly started at speeds around 75, 110, and 300 baud (bits per second). They eventually increased to 1200, 2400, and finally 9600 baud (bps). By using software compression, speeds of 14400, 16800, 28800, and 33600 baud (bps)were achieved. Lastly, the speeds said to be 56K (56000 bps) were developed initially by the incompatable X2 and Flex standards which were merged into the V.90 standards. Broadband could be interpreted as any remote network data connection speed above 128kbps (128000 bps). It is possible that one could consider one of the various forms of DSL Internet connection lines to be considered "dial-up" because it uses telephone cabling. It is simply coincidental that they both use a pair of copper wires from telephone poles that run down a long cable into a home.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is something I learned in kindergarten. That is to take a used and empty tissue paper box and remove the plastic film on it. Then to strap rubberbands, that have been cut once so they are rubber strings, and place several along the hole of the box. Then staple the ends with different amounts of tightness on the bands so that they produce different sounds. I believe we may have put a pencil underneath those rubberbands so we can make different tones as well. Try searching "tissue box guitar" on google or google images.
