You can find examples of poems that use assonance in collections of poetry books, online poetry websites, or by studying the works of poets known for their use of sound devices, such as Emily Dickinson, Langston Hughes, or Dylan Thomas. Look for poems where the repetition of vowel sounds creates a musical or rhythmic effect.

There is probably not yet an anthology of poems for children thematically related to assonance. However, there are many sources on the internet (and in book stores) for children's poems. It should not be a great chore to pick out, from those sources, a number of poems which adequately illustrate assonance.
