Where can you find in the Bible the statement or idea that your eyes are the window to your soul?

Answer

The eyes are likened to the windows of the heart in Mark 7:20-23.

I can find none that say; they are the "windows to the soul"

Answer

There seems to be a great deal of debate over the origins of the phrase, "the eyes are the windows to the soul." Some credit Immanuel Kant. Max Beerbohm cites it in his own quote, "I do not need a book of quotations to know that the eyes are the windows to the soul." Other sources simply state that it is an old English or Arab proverb.

I haven't been able to find the phrase in any translation of the Bible to which I have access. Mark 7:20-23 may hint at such a thought, but some translations make no references to the eyes.

Answer

It doesnt seem to reference.

The Lamp of The Body is The Eye

Matthew 6:22,23 says "The lamp of the body is the eye. If, then, your eye is simple, your whole body will be bright; but if your eye is wicked, your whole body will be dark. If in reality the light the that is in you is darkness, how great that darkness is!"

KJV - Luke 11:33-36 indicates:11:33No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 11:34The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 11:35Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 11:36If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.NOTE:the word single is interpreted as clear.

Ref Luke 11:33-36; King James Version (KJV): In addition to what I previously posted for "Eyes are the window to the soul". I find its origin in the bible 58 to 68 A.D. Matthew 6 22-23. Matthew 6:22-23

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness
