Henri Pieper was a Belgian gunmaker operating between the late 1860's and his death around 1898. By the time of his death he had grown his gunmaking firm to quite a large size. The company was re-organised after his death by his heirs (family). It went into receivership again and was refiananced around 1906 and continued until the firm was wound up in the early 1950's. The company names are variations using the family name Pieper and the guns most closely identified with the firm are pistols that are marked with the trade name Bayard, although they also made shotguns and rifles. I happen to own a very high grade Pieper shotgun made around 1903 with fantastic leaf & vine engraving, along with several others shotguns by Pieper. Best source of information on all the various Pieper companies is a website www.littlegun.be Hope this has been helpful
Pieper was a Belgian gun maker, so it was most likely made in Belgium. Look for the Belgian black powder proof marks.
Probably made somewhere between 1870 - 1910. If you were to tell everyone it was made around 1900 you wouldn't be far off either way.

If that "small figure of a man?" is a knight in armor, you probably have a Bayard manufactured by Henri Pieper or Anciens Etablissments Pieper in Belgium.
Not likely to find one. Serial numbers weren't required on long arms until 1969 and this gun was made by Anciens Etablissment Pieper around 1910.
50-100 USD or so

Eclipse Gun Company is a name found on Belgian manufactured double barrels from around 1900-1916. The manufacturer was Henri Pieper. Please note that the Damascus barrels were meant for BLACK POWDER shotshells, and should not be fired with modern day ammo.
W. W. Greener was a high grade English gunmaker in the 1800's. Doc Holiday was carrying one of his doubles at the OK Corral. Belgian manufacturers would put similar, sometimes identical, names on utility grade shotguns for import to the US. There's no history or documentation on many of these, but Joe Vorisek has documented 'A Greener' as a product of Henri Pieper, Leige, Belgium.
