Where can you find information about a Remington UMC 1911 45 pistol in 95 percent condition? |

Answer
During WW I, a number of companies made the 1911 for military service, including Remington UMC (for Union Metallic Cartridge). Remington produced about 21,500 of these weapons, serial numbered 1-21,676. They were made in 1918 and 1919 only.
Blue Book value for a 95% original condition Remington 1911 is $2,500.00, but I certainly cannot vouch for the condition of your gun. Take this one to a competent appraiser before doing anything to it (including cleaning).
