If you go to http://www.hondahookup.com, you'll find that someone scanned and uploaded the Honda shop maintenance manuals. Let me give you a piece of advice: do NOT start this job unless you have a transmission jack! I tried doing one with just a floor jack, and it took two of us to align the transmission to the back of the engine. A transmission jack has a saddle for the transmission to fit in, which makes this a one-mechanic job. Also make sure you have two bottles of Honda Power Steering fluid--this car has speed-sensitive power steering, which is controlled by a pump on the back of the transmission. You must unhook the two hoses and the speedometer cable to get the transmission out, which means you'll drain the power steering system. It takes two bottles to refill it.
Yes, by removing the 4 cylinder and installing a V6. But the cost would be prohibitive. Sell your 2004 Honda 4 cylinder and then buy another 2004 Honda V6 and you will be money and lots of time ahead.

No, the only transmission that fits exactly is a 94-97 Accord. The 90-93 Accord can be used, but you will need the 90-93 flywheel. Chuck
