try S. lake park ave from about 47th street and keep walking north till 35th street there are a few old buldings in that area. What types of buildings are you looking for? I am a contractor, and spend most of my day driving around the city. I also have a great interest in Chicago history. I'm not sure how you respond directly to a question, but email me and I can give you some locations.
