kind of an answer
I went online and found a guy in PA who repairs older pellet guns, I might be able to look it up, the gun was made by crosman I think, I have one that has a maple(lightwood) stock with a white line spacer between the barrel and air chamber tube full length of rifle, mine says on it J.C. HIGGINS "22" CALIBER 126.19301
not the 10 as you say mine is 01
he was able to get it shooting solidly again i think it $30+shipg.
