The value of a 1952 Allis Chalmers tractor is actually dependent upon a number of factors. The most important factor being the condition of the tractor.
The Ford 8N tractor was produced 1947-1952.
from 1952 on
1952-1956
It all depends on the condition. Could be a few hundred to thousands of dollars.
If the wiring checks okay you may have a faulty generator or voltage regulator.
I had an 8N but I never tore it down. You need to link up with the people at the link.
I know the answer, it's the International Bmd aka: the Mc Cormick/Farmall Bmd.
The four speed transmission was a change that was incorporated into the Ford 8N as an improvement over the 9N/2N. The Ford 8N was manufactured between 1947 and 1952.
It was invented in 1947 by B.F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber company. In 1952 they received a patent. They were standard equiptment on most cars by 1955.
Depends on the serial #, which is stamped on the left side of the engine block up near the top. (The years can range from 1949-1952 according to a shop manual.)
Well in 1952 they were #2000.00 new today the go from $800.00 to $3500.00 depending on if they have been restored or just a running tractor. I bought one this year for $1200.00 with very nice paint and had been rebuilt in 2006 . But you should he able to pick up a running one for $800.00 and up.
