If you are looking at specific foods in the grocery store, you can find the calories on the nutrition facts side of the package. It is located in the upper left hand corner under, "Amounts per serving." Also, pay attention to the number of servings in the package of the food. Multiply the number of servings by the calorie of servings and it will give you the total number of calories in the package.

If you are looking for an online database, there are several websites. The USDA put together a large database and you can look up individual foods. The website is:
