No, I do not need a manual for a craftsman miter saw, but thank you very much for your concern.
There most likely isn't one. I have had many even better known saws and never found amanual for any of them.

go to sears.com look up power tools in the craftsman section click on similar item (i.e. miter saw and then click more info. This will lead you to another page that has links to sears technicians, parts, manuals, product reviews, and a lot of knowledge
I like to use a 12 inch dewalt miter saw. But really it depends on what you will be trimming to figure out exactly what size you will need. Mike
Depends. A Delta Shopmaster will, but a Craftsman 21236 won't.

Google the name and number on the internet. Most Craftsman tools have manuals online.
My aunt and uncle have this same saw, they downloaded a manual from http://userguides.50webs.com/
http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=2832 Guaranteed this is the manual for your saw... It's a 22 inch length table, hard to find saw.
Contact the manufacturer.
Try contacting the manufacturer of your miter saw. They may have available replacement parts.
The manual, if available, can be found at the links below. The parts link will tell you if the manual is at Manage My Home and link to it.
