Use a squirt type of bottle or a container that has a pour spout.
Same as any bottle, put a pourer spout in it, do the correct count into the glass. There are special pouring systems that eliminate the need to handle the heavy half gallon bottle. You good also go "old school" and pour into a shot glass..

They are available at Amazon. Search for: Crown Automotive 11010SP Jerry can spout. This spout doesn't look like original spout. It screws in on the inside threads not on the outer flange like the original spout. The main thing is that it works! Actually I think it is better than original.

first you pour it into the cup thing then you pour the cup into the dish. pour the dish into the the big bottle then pour the cup into the dog dish. after that pour the big bottle into the cup then pour the cup into the dog dish to fill it up
