Just need and HDMI wire. Unless if you PC is old then you need a VGA wire, but if its flat screen and not an apple TV then you need a VGA to HDMI wire.
well, there are several types of VGA cables. the full form model is less common than the 2X or the half form. the full form is actually just a longer half form VGA cable that is plugged into the v-drive instead of a MC-16 drive. it is generally only used for macs. hope it helped

sorry no you can not. the VGA port on laptops are only output not input. you will have to buy a capture card like "EasyCap" or something. fraps has a free version but to unlock the full program you will have to buy it.
If your laptop has a TV out socket then just buy the relevant cable. If it doesn't, and it _does_ have a standard VGA monitor socket you can get a box that converts this to a format suitable for TV. Ebay for "VGA converter", they cost about $40.
