Why does you ferret get mad?
What do you mean by mad? If your ferret is tearing up stuff it probably is not getting as much time out of its cage as it should, ferrets should have 2-4 hours out of their cage a day. If you are gone/busy all day, you could get a bigger cage (if you can afford it) and another ferret for a play mate; but you should still give your ferret(s) one on one play time with you.If your ferret is biting you then you can spray bitter apple on your hand and that will detour any biting; however, if your ferret is a kit it's probably just tryng to play with you. If your away from home can I leave my ferret in a cage or do you leave them in a ferret-proof room?
It would be better to leave them in a ferret-proofed room and they get plenty exercise that way. I personally do not cage mine at all and leave them in my bedroom which is ferret proofed. It's very stressful to leave ferrets in a cage, which can lead to obsessive behaviors from boredom. Ferrets are not caged animals, you cage them for their protection. From other contributors: You can leave them in either one just make sure he or she has toys to play with while you are gone.
Why do ferrets act weird when a new one is introduced into its cage?
What do you mean by "weird?" Ferrets have a pecking order, much like dogs. If you have multiple ferrets and you introduce a new one, the dominant ferret and the new ferret will likely "wrestle" for dominance. If you introduce a new ferret to an older ferret who is not used to having company in his cage then the older ferret just may reject the new ferret altogether. Or it may just take him a while to warm up to having a new playmate.

The best kind of cage for a ferret is a large one with multiple levels, especially if you not taking them out for exercise every day. The one I have has 4 levels an is 6' tall 4' wide and 3' deep that is for 4 ferrets and I still take them out regularly for exercise. You can get by with a smaller cage but I would suggest the largest you can accomadate, otherwise you should make the right choice and get an animal that requires less care

Yes ferrets are social animals and as you should keep two as they're very active and a play mate will drain their energy There's no way of guaranteeing that one ferret will like another ferret. However, there are certain steps that will make it more likely. Introduce the new ferret through the bars of the existing ferret's cage - let them sniff one another. If you have two cages, keep the new ferret in a separate cage for a few days, then swap the bedding in each cage with the bedding from the other - this almost always works. Each ferret has it's own personality (and whether they have been altered) - Baby ferrets take to other ferrets very easily, older ferrets that have never been around other ferrets - it may take time for them to adjust, some may never accept another ferret. Ferrets that have not been altered (or fixed, neutered, spayed) when in season or heat, the males will fight.
