According to Muslims faith, Islam Originated from the beginning of the mankind, the first human being on earth was Adam who was the prophet of God and was Muslim. the last prophet of god was Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on whom the last book of Islam reveled which was Quran, its been around 1400 years ago that the final revelation of Islam reveled. its unchanged till today.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most people would accept that the Islam faith was set out by the Prophet Muhammed during his life. The prophet said that God told him what to do and caused him to write the words of the Quran over a period of approximately 23 years beginning on 22 December 609 CE (when the prophet was 40).

The Prophet Muhammad was born in about 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca.

As stated above, the prophets teachings include the previous faiths of the people of the book, starting with the messages revealed to Adam as chronicled in the Jewish Torah, including the Christian bible and culminating in the Quran.

The five pillars of Islam came from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) saying (hadeeth):

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.

2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.

3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .

4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)

5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

Each of these five pillars or principles is detailed in Quran, Muslims holy book that reflects real God revelation to prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril), and in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sayings and practices.

All five pillars have been mentioned in Quran in various places (not all in one go) and many times.

About five pillars can be found in Hadith. Read Imam Muslim or Imam Bukhari or both. They are the 2 most authentic books of Hadith.

Pls note: Details are not mentioned in Quran. For details you have to read Hadith.

Hadith is what is said or done by our beloved prophet Muhammad swah.
