Theist hindus believe that each God is in his own heaven. For example, Lord Vishnu would be in 'Vaikuntha' and Lord Shiva would be at Kailas (Loka), the Tibetan mountain. Loka means a world. Let me point out that many mountains in India also are known as Kailash. There is one in the beautiful Spiti Valley, which is known as Kinner Kailash. Then, there is one in Bharmour Valley, which is known as Manimahesh (Shiva's Jewel). Lastly, there is one in Kuti valley in Uttarakhand which is known as 'Adi Kailash", i.e., 'Older Kailash'.
