Jon's father did pass away when the babies were a few months old. He was their hands-on helpful grandparent and they miss him dearly. Jon's mom, however, is still present in their life, but just doesn't want to be on TV. Jon talks to his mom more than once a day and she does see the kids. She lives 80+ miles from the Gosselins and isn't able to be in the children's immediate life.

Kate's parents have nothing to do not only with Kate and her family, but with all of her siblings' families as well. They have basically detached themselves from their children and grandchildren. The live and work in the same area the Gosselins live.

They live in Hershey, Pa.

In the 1970s they purchased 86 acres of property on Elizabethtown rd in Palmyra, Pa. Thy lived in the farmhouse w/barn and on the rest they tried to start a Christian Campground called "Jubilee Acres Christian Campground."

They sold it after Kenton was brought in front of the Londonderry Township zoning board after he violated numerous zoning laws while operating it.

The current owners have made part of it into a trailer park which you can see from the road which is why there are numerous discrepancies over whether Kate grew up in a trailer park or not.

Jon Gosselins dad died in 2004, and Jons mom is living in Norh Central Pennsylvania.

Jon's dad was a retired dentist who passed away. He was a frequent visitor in the early days and is greatly missed. Jon's mom lives about 3 hours away from the new manse in Pennsylvania. She has her own life and seldom spends time with the family.
