About 300 different minerals are known from Pennsylvania, but precious gems are slim to none, and slim just left town. Aquamarine has been found in Delaware County, corundum in Lehigh County. Various colors of quartz have been found, as well as serpentine, malachite, garnet, and tourmaline, and doubtless a few others that are cuttable. PA has lots of interesting minerals, but it's not much of a gem producer.
