Check with your local pool company. They should be able to advise you which route is the cheapest of a delivery of water in a truck, using the fire hydrant (if in an area with this service) or using your hoses at your home. Your city can give you further information about using the hydrant and hose rental. etc.
Any bulk water delivery company in your area will be able to fill up your pool. I live in Michigan and we've used Blue Water Trucking in the past. Try looking up similar companies under bulk water delivery in your area.

∙ 14y agoFilling a pool with a hose is slow but likely less costly than filling a pool with bulk water. In my municipality, you can get a permit to fill a pool, but it costs $$. I am not sure if they give you the fittings needed to connect hoses to your pool.
A pool liner should stay wet, but can last a few hours to a few days without water depending upon the temperature and the amount of direct sun.
So, filling a pool with a hose is fine and less expensive unless you're in a big hurry or you have a huge pool to fill, then consider getting a bulk water shipment or having the municipality fill it through a fire hydrant.
