Where do you install an oil filter on a 1960 Rambler six cylinder if it is missing?

Are you talking about a cartridge type filter? If so, you install it in the filter cartridge housing, normally located under the hood. Purchase the filter and you will then see what type it has. Of course a screw on filter is probably not what you have as the engine would dump all the oil, if the filter were missing. I must assume it has a cartridge filter.
