Do what comes naturally, but if you cant just let you subconscious take over, stand on your tippy toes. that's what i did to my ex, he was like 6'3" and i was like actually 5'6" and i just made a joke about how much taller he was than me and stood on my tippy toes to reach around him.

If you don't want to stand on your tippy toes then reach towards his waist, don't confuse that for his hips though... things might get a little awkward...
