United States from Texas and some tortises and turtles also came from Africa and australlia the yellowed shell tortise has its home there (not the real name)
Some come from the Gallopagos islands and Africa.

Tortoises are a very ancient type of animal, they were around at the time of the dinosaurs and survived extinction event that killed the dinosaurs.
