The truth of Ephesians 3 reveals that we presently live in the Age of Grace. In addition, II Timothy 3 informs us that we are also in the Perilous Times of The Last Days. Following the Age of Grace will be The Day of Christ, commonly called the Second Coming.

Philippians 1

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

Philippians 2

16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

II Thessalonians 2

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Exactly when The Day of Christ will begin is unknown and cannot be estimated through signs, CNN, calendars, or any other means, as it is a

secret God is keeping. We only know that the shout of the Archangel Gabriel and a Trumpet sound will announce its commencement.

I Thessalonians 4

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The events of the end times recorded in Matthew, Luke, and Daniel will only happen after we've been gathered together with Christ (II Thessalonians 2:1).

As improbable as it sounds; Jesus "went to church" one Sabbath day... and was handed the scroll of Isaiah the prophet:

"...He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written,

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel [good news of the Kingdom of God - Mark 1:14-15] to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

"AND HE CLOSED THE BOOK, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him. And He began to say unto them, THIS DAY IS THIS SCRIPTURE FULFILLED IN YOUR EARS." (Luke 4:16-21)

Jesus had read to those Jews Isaiah's prophecy, which He testified was fulfilled in Him at that time. But Jesus cut off reading any more of the prophecy, because the "second" part of it is to be fulfilled at His "second coming." He stopped reading where the prophetic fulfillment stopped.

The second part of Isaiah's prophecy speaks of a latter day fulfillment not for the time of His first coming. Not of the "end of the world," either... but of the "end of man's rule over it." Because the world doesn't end when Jesus returns.

It will end IF HE DOESN'T.

Here's the rest of the prophecy... where Jesus will return: "...(to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord) [is where He stopped]..." (Isa.61:2).

"...and THE DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint [give provision] unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called Trees of Righteousness, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations." (verses 2-4)

Jesus Christ is coming back to earth IN WRATH... not as He came the FIRST TIME, meekly, mildly preaching "hope for mankind"... the good news of the Kingdom of God and of the coming "salvation of the world."

Not as God's sacrifice to the world... but as its no nonsense Holy and Righteous King.

He's coming back in "wrath"... leading a powerful army to fight and defeat rebellious and lawless men. And to avenge the untold millions of people throughout the diseased, ravaged, starved, murdered, oppressed generations of Godless men.

"Behold, the Day of the Lord cometh... for I will gather all nations together against Jerusalem to battle... Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle. And HIS FEET SHALL STAND IN THAT DAY UPON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES... and THE LORD MY GOD SHALL COME, AND ALL THE SAINTS WITH THEE." (Zech.14:1-5)

"AND THE LORD SHALL BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH: in that Day shall there be One Lord, and His name One." (verse 9)

First, He will have to remove Satan and his demons from influencing man (Rev.20:1-3) and subdue man's mortal nature to rebel by destroying all of man's war-making capabilities.

"...this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongues shall consume away in their mouth." (verse 12)

"...it shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS, that the Mountain [symbol for government] of the Lord's House shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and ALL NATIONS SHALL FLOW UNTO IT.

"And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord, to the House of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and THEY SHALL BEAT THEIR SWORDS INTO PLOWSHARES, and THEIR SPEARS INTO PRUNINGHOOKS: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Isa.2:2-4)

Improbable, indeed. Can anyone imagine Chinese, Hindus, Muslims worshiping the God of Jacob?

The Bible doesn't prophesy the "end of the world." It prophesys of the "end of Satan-guided man's destructive rule over it"... and of Jesus Christ's return to the earth to save it from ending should man's rebellious ways be allowed to reach their ultimate conclusion.

As improbable as it may may be... Jesus saw Himself prophesied to return in the books of the Old Testament:

"...ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED, which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the PROPHETS, and in the Psalms, CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24:44)

In those days... He saw Himself in the Old Testament fulfilling the first part of those things concerning Him. And He testifies today throughout the Bible, that He shall return to fulfill the second part.

A vengeful God, returning in wrath to subdue rebellious man... and to begin the healing process for a thousand years:

"For as the New Heavens and the New Earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another [month after month], and from one Sabbath to another, shall ALL FLESH COME TO WORSHIP BEFORE ME, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched [maggot-ridden bodies at the rim of the Lake of Fire in Gehenna Valley on the outskirts of Jerusalem, of which Jesus spoke]; and they shall be an aborring unto all flesh." (Isa.66:22-24)

"...it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year [for a thousand years] TO WORSHIP THE KING, the LORD OF HOSTS, and to KEEP THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES." (Zech.14:16)

It won't be the "end of the world"... but the beginning of Jesus Christ and His saints healing and guiding and teaching the nations of the world a HEALTHY RESPECT for their Creator and His ways.

It sounds highly improbable, but Jesus says the Bible is Truth... and He says the prophecies are about Him.

"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen..." (Rev.22:20).

Revelation 10:66 And swear by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Can be found in Matthew 16:28, 23:36, 24:34.. Luke 9:27, Mark 9:1, 13;30, Luke 21:32.

The Christian Bible talks about the end of the world in Revelation. However, there is NO talk of it in the Tanakh (Jewish Bible).

Please look up the exact passages in the original - or to be more direct: get a bible! In general the end of days (or world - the notion "earth" doesn't appear) is indicated to have some pre-signs... but the moment itself "is what no one knows". There's no indication like "it happens on... , it's when... ". There no date!

No. The Bible sets no dates for the end of time and the second coming of Christ Jesus.

Jesus Himself stated that no one knows the day or hour of the end (Matthew 24:36).

But He did state that we CAN know when the second coming is near (Mark 13:29).

So, we cannot set any dates for the second coming or the end of the world. But we can know when the second coming is near, from the signs of the end times.

Answer also: The Bible does not give a specific date, but if you read the above mentioned scriptures as well as 2 Timothy 3:1-5 you will see that we are clearly living in what the Bible calls the end of this system of things.

There are quite a few prophecies in the Bible of the end of the world, associated with the hoped-for second coming of Jesus. The earliest of these is in chapter 13 of Mark's Gospel, which has Jesus prophesy the end of the world and his own return on clouds of glory, during the lifetimes of those then living. The references to the destruction that occurred in the late 60s gives an indication of when this was expected to occur. Jesus told his listeners that they would see the Temple destroyed, and the abomination of desolation, followed by the Son of man coming in clouds of glory, and that this would take place during their own generation.

By the 80s of the first century, when Matthew's Gospel was written, the return predicted in Mark's Gospel was becoming unlikely - the generation had already passed - and the author of Matthew had to change the emphasis away from an impending end of the world. While copying as faithfully as possible from Mark, he changed the position of the sentence about "this generation", relative to the destruction of the great buildings, so that it referred to something else altogether. He added, and emphasised, material where Jesus told the disciples that the end is not yet, and that no man knows when the end of the world will occur. Matthew 24:21 talks of great tribulation that will be followed by the end of the world and the second coming.

Luke was somewhat later than Matthew and even more clearly could not say that the destruction of Jerusalem meant the end of the world. This gospel talks about the end of the world as vaguely in the future, keeping the reference to this generation, but in reference to the need to preach the gospel.

Some see further prophecies of the end of the world and "Armageddon" in the Book of Revelation. More improbably, the Old Testament has been seen by some as prophesying the second coming of Jesus.
