Aunt Em threw open the trapdoor to the small, dark hole that served as a cellar, and as a hiding place from cyclones. Dorothy was going to follow, but her pet dog Toto hid under the bed. She fetched Toto and was halfway across the room to the trapdoor when the house shook, whirled around, and rose up in the air. So Dorothy didn't have a chance to hide anywhere. She just sat on the floor while Toto ran around the room. Hours later, she crawled across the floor, to lie down and go to sleep in her bed.
In the Palace or center municipal building of the Emerald City, towards the end of the film. it is interesting to note there was a strange character , sometimes called the doorman who wore a costume almost indistinguishable from a Bishop, in fact he looked a bit like the popular idea of St.Patrick ! (H"mm right color of arm). The back of the palace anterooms looked a lot, too much, like the back vestibule of any large church. seemed to be a silent pun on religion.
