Where in scripture can you find a discipline person?

In a number of scriptures (as listed below).

Almighty God is the Greatest Disciplinarian personage in the Universe. God disciplines because (as our Father) he LOVES!

Since we are all God's Children, we ALL receive discipline from God. (The following scriptures show this also.)

Prov 3:11, 12"Do not reject the discipline of the Lord, my son,

and do not resent his warning, for the LORD disciplines the one He loves,

just as a father, the son he delights in." (God's Word Translation & Holman's Translation respectively)

Hebrews 12:5-10

"My child, pay attention when the Lord disciplines you. Don't give up when he corrects you.

6The Lord disciplines everyone he loves. He severely disciplines everyone he accepts as his child."

7Endure your discipline. God corrects you as a father corrects his children. All children are disciplined by their fathers.

8If you aren't disciplined like the other children, you aren't part of the family.

9On earth we have fathers who disciplined us, and we respect them. Shouldn't we place ourselves under the authority of God, the father of spirits, so that we will live?

10For a short time our fathers disciplined us as they thought best. Yet, God disciplines us for our own good so that we can become holy like him."

Admittedly, receiving discipline is not easy. It often hurts.

Hebrews 12:11states: "We don't enjoy being disciplined. It always seems to cause more pain than joy. But later on, those who learn from that discipline have peace that comes from doing what is right." (God's Word Translation)

God only disciplines "to the proper degree" necessary for the gravity of our disobedience.

Jeremiah 30:11"I will not let you go unpunished; but when I punish you, I will be fair. I won't send you off with just a slap on the wrist."(Good News Translation & The Message version respectively) (other translations: "to the proper degree" or "in the right measure")

In Isaiah chapter 28(especially verse 23-29), it likens the discipline from God and compares it with how a farmer treats his crops. Just as a farmer uses gentler methods to thresh a more delicate grain, so Almighty God adjusts his discipline according to the individual and the circumstances. He is never arbitrary or heavy-handed but acts with a view to the potential rehabilitation of erring ones.
