The Ecliptic goes through it - that is the plane in which Earth moves around the Sun. Other planets in our Solar System are always near the Ecliptic, too.

Its declination is about +20 degrees, meaning it is a bit north of the Celestial Equator. Its right ascension is 7 hours.

All this may not help you much in locating the constellation; the best thing is to have an astronomer friend point it out to you.

This depends on your location on the planet and your local time. A program called Stellarium (free to download and use) gives you a fantastic idea of where every constellation is located in the night sky and at what time. Enjoy!

At night (sorry, couldn't resist). Gemini can be seen most of the year if you pick the right time of night to look. In June and July the sun is moving through Gemini, so it's not visible at night, but from early August through late May it can be seen (just before sunrise in August, just after sunset in May).
