You're going to find a lot of answers to this question, depending on who you ask. The Bible doesn't really tell us more than that God is in heaven... and you have to look in other books to get any more of an answer than that, in a physical sense. If you are talking about spiritually, God is said to walk among men at times, though we don't know that it is him... and he "dwells in our hearts" as well, probably meaning that we always have a connection to him through prayer. Psalm 123:1 Unto you I lift up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Ecclesiastes 5:2 Let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth.

"God is a Spirit," says the Bible. (John 4:24) Therefore, he resides in a spiritual realm independent of the physical universe. When the Bible refers to "the heavens" as God's dwelling place, it is referring to the loftiness of the place where he resides in contrast with the material environment in which we reside. In any event, the Bible teaches that God's abode is clearly distinguished from the physical universe but is at the same time a very specific location.

God, The Great Architect, Love, or whatever else you call it exists within everything everywhere.

  • If God is the inherent intelligence within all entities as professed by most theologies, then by that definition God should be wherever you are. If the theology is true then God should be present within every person or thing. If God is in the air then God is as close to you as your breath.
  • Pray and ask Him. He'll tell you.
  • What holds a plane in the air? can you see it? No ... but you see its effects - it makes a plane fly. So also, where is God now? He is the Creator and sustainer of all things, and in Him we live and move and have our beings.
  • God is everywhere, if GOD needs to have to be in specific place, the God like us be a limit entity. limits things have many limitations like time, place, power and many other factors. but GOD that we know him doesn't have any of these limitations.
  • God is in Heaven with all of the Christians who have gone to be with Him. Forty days after He resurrected, Jesus ascended into Heaven, and He is still there, with His Father, preparing a place for believers to live for eternity. He is also on earth, he is absolutely everywhere. He is omnipresent, everywhere at once.
  • God is always here, even when you feel horrible. God is here at the most hard times. Pray and ask God for anything you need. God will only give you what you need not what you want. God is always there for you.
  • In your mind.

God is everywhere (omnipresent) and is accessible to those who seek him.

The primitive early writers of the Old Testament thought God lived on a mountain until he came down to live in the tabernacle built for him by Moses. During the Exodus he travelled on a throne built atop the Ark of the Covenant, surrounded by gilt images of two cherubim. Later, the Jews believed that God dwelt in the Holy of Holies, in the Jerusalem temple.

The modern view is split between "God is everywhere" and"God is up in heaven".
