It's still traveling in outer space...where else could it be? And hopefully the 3 Saturn Shaped UFO's that came with it, that I observed while on Earth have finished their mission. TRUE THAT!!
Halley's Comet is past the orbit of Neptune, and is approaching its aphelion, or "farthest distance from the Sun".
Comets travel quite slowly out there, and it will be many years before it reaches aphelion beyond the orbit of Pluto and starts its long fall back into the inner solar system. By the time it gets sunward of Jupiter's orbit, it will already be going very fast indeed, and will only take a couple of years for it to whip past the Sun and recede out past Jupiter's orbit again.
The Hale-Bopp comet is now beyond the orbit of Uranus but is expected to still be visible by large telescopes until about 2020. If you want to see Hale-Bopp without any telescope you have to wait until 4534 AD. :(
As of May 2010 Halley's comet is 32 Astromical units from the Sun (4,800 million km's)

Comet Hale-Bopp is not expected to reappear in our solar system until approximately 4385 AD !

Astronomers have no clear answer as to where comet sl9 is now but it's somwhere out in space
comaThe tail. This is comprised of whatever the comet was made of, but is now being burnt off by the sun. ( the tail of a comet always points away from the sun.)

Depends how old you are now.
Halley's Comet was observed and recorded many times in many places around the world. Sir Edmond Halley demonstrated that the repeated sightings were of the same object, the comet that now bears his name.
there's comet halley, comet hale-bop, comet borrelly, and Comet wild 2... that's all i can think now.

It takes 2,393 years to do one orbit. It is the longest visible comet when it does come it can be seen for over 19 months. It nucleus is believed to be between 25-50 miles across whereas a normal comet is typically 1-2 miles across. Its origins are in the Oort cloud which lies about 1 light year away and it is believed to be as old as the sun at 4.5 billion years old. Its next visit will be in 4388 AD.

The website Store-Locations lists locations of all Comet stores in the UK. Unfortunately, this list is now outdated as Comet stores have ceased trading and closed.
Until now, the comet had been unobserved for centuries.
Moon, planets, stars, now and then a comet.
