I have found it in parts of Tennessee. Unfortunately I live in Virginia. SouthPaw light beer is distributed by Blue Ridge Beverage in much of the state of Virginia. They have multiple warehouses across the state. As of 2008, you can get Southpaw in locations serviced out of the Lynchburg warehouse. Strangely, it is not available from the Richmond warehouse. I live in Charlottesville, which is serviced from Richmond. The farthest east I have found it is at the Lovingston Food Lion. This beer used to be available everywhere, it seems to have been scaled back considerably when Miller (Plank Road) Brewery was purchased by an African company.

Speaking from US' former beer capital, Milwaukee, I've generally heard that in a derogatory way regarding light beer. Take "Milwaukee's Best' that was sold in Florida and throughout the South. Back in the 1980's it wasn't sold in WI at all.
It seems like it is popular in the south at many stores. we live in the north and can't get it here. when we visit Florida we buy it there.
