She was "downsized". We just missed her, too. This article in the POST (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/20/AR2006112001376.html) is from 11/06 so it's been in the works for a while -- I had not heard about it either.
What a shame! The Channel 4 News Team was the greatest. Guess we will shop for a new channel to watch.
