Adam Ant resumed his musical career six years ago whilst he was recovering from a period of Mental Illness. Although he has been diagnosed as suffering from Bipolar disorder, he is becoming increasingly busy again as a recording artist, and last December released a CD of the live gig he performed at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London in the October of 2007 (his first live performance in 11 years). The CD is only available to purchase online, and is not available in any shops. He remains living and working in London, and last October was awarded Q magazine's prestigious Music Icon Award, for which he felt deeply honoured. He is hoping to release an all-new album later this year, and has also expressed an interest in working with The Kaiser Chiefs. On 2nd April, he was interviewed by Mariella Frostrup for a forthcoming Radio 2 series called 'Blonde On Blonde', in which he shares his remeniscences of the late actress Diana Dors, who was a close personal friend of his. The 'Prince Charming' outfit that Adam wore for some of his early Music Videos, and also for the Adam & The Ants tours of '81 and '82, are soon to go on permanent display at London's Victoria & Albert Museum.
