Where is Gary grimes now what is he doing?

I've just found a web site: garygrimes.com, of a guy who plays Paul McCartney in "1964" and also records TV and radio commercials. This particular Gary Grimes is a musician, and although his hair is very similar, (and other features seem close), there's still no mention on the site of any ties to the "Summer of '42" actor. He also seems to be about the same age, (going on 53), but again, no clear connection.

For anyone who loves and admires the movie as much as Ido, you know what an amazing young actor this kid was at the time, and that the pressures put on him in such a role, at that age, must have been extraordinary. Really a superb acting job, and one that took a great deal of natural ability, as well as hard work.

I know that he did a number of other projects - the movie with John Wayne, (Cahill), the sequel, (Class of '44), and some other TV and movie roles, but he has for now slipped into obscurity, and I would like to find out more about where he is now, and what has become of this fine young thespian.

I am writing a memoir of my life, and, as I had an amazingly similar experience in my youth, and as this movie touched me in many ways, on many levels, it would mean a great deal to find out what his life has been like since then, and how the making of this film has affected his life.

I am also in touch with Herman Roucher, and am getting in touch with Jerry Houser, who still does acting from time to time, and who, I hope, may know something as to Gary's whereabouts. Jennifer O'Neill is now a Contemporary Christian Music artist, as I am, and has a web site of her own.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who was touched by this young actor's talents, and who would like to know what has become of him. Thank you!
