I have a 2001 montero sport xls and I found out today it does have a plug in the bottom of the fuel tank
I couldm't find it on my mom's montero, what ever you do don't take off the big hose on the botom (IT's the transmission coolant)
The oil drain plug on a Mitsubishi Sport is almost dead center to the engine on the bottom. It is slightly up higher than the bottom of the oil pan on the rearÊof the oil pan.
you have to take off skid plate first to access oil drain plug, and to also get at oil filter. Make sure you dont drain transmission by mistake.
Try your local autoparts store, the should carry a drain plug for the '01. If they do not then ask about a universal drain plug kit.
there should be a drain plug on all radiators on the bottom of radiator on either bottom corner or possibly in middle on bottom

the trans and primary fluid on a sportster are the same (1 qt sport trans) look for the drain under the derby cover.
It is under the dash on the driver side.
Under the right side cover in front of the saddle bag.
If it's the stock motor, there is no drain plug under the crankcase. If it's aftermarket there might be a plug to drain oil from the crankcase, which would seldom if ever be necessary.
The oil drain plug is normally located under the motor but you need to get under the vehicle to see it.
