Where is the PCV valve located on a Honda Odyssey? In: Honda Odyssey |

PVC Valve Location
The PCV valve for the Honda Odyssey van (models: 1999-present) is difficult to find if you don't know where to look. I recently replaced the PCV valve on my 2000 Honda Odyssey, with a little help from the dealership. I went to the parts counter and asked them to print out a drawing of the engine that shows the location of the valve. You might want to do the same.
The PCV valve is located on the top of the engine, right (drivers) side towards the back. To get to it, you have to remove the large, black plastic cover from the top of the engine (4 each 10mm bolts) . Look at the back of the engine and you will see 4 sets of wires spread out across the engine and connect to the engine (like spark plug wires). Also across that block on the engine is another long, thin, black plastic cover. Take that cover off as well because it covers the PCV valve. You should see the PCV valve on the right-hand side and slightly recessed into the cylinder head cover. Pull on it and it should pop right out of the engine. Then use a pair of pliers to release the hose clamp on the other end. BE CAREFUL not to puncture or tear the rubber hose when removing the old valve. Install the new PCV into the hose and replace the hose clamp. Then push the other end down into the engine, replace the covers and you are good to go. Good Luck!
