Answer

The Ultimate Warrior is not so ultimate these days. He lives with his wife and two daughters in New Mexico. He tries to make a living as a paid speaker spouting conservative rhetoric and living off his former glories. He has his own Web site, which he uses to promote himself and make bitter comments about politics and wrestling, most of which fall on deaf ears {they do not fall on deaf ears. His website gets over 100,000 hits a day. If it falls on deaf ear...why do YOU know about It???~ihgs3g3}. Recently, he put up some of his old wrestling gear for auction on ebay. It's pretty sad, if you ask me

Answer

I do not understand the bizarre hatred and disrespect that exists on the Internet for this man.

Through business, I have built a solid working relationship and friendship with Warrior (yes....that his name now, yawn...) and found him to be an intelligent, charismatic, generous and well mannered gentleman.

He lives with his beautiful wife and two intelligent daughters out in Santa Fe.

I feel jealousy from some people that unlike others, ahem Piper, Hoga, Flair...Warrior has retired gracefully into the sunset as a millionaire...not content with hanging onto past glories and continuing his legacy by competing as a pathetic broken-down has been..

Answer

Make no mistake...the man known as Warrior is not generous , nor a well mannered gentleman. He dictates a powerful gospel based upon concrete conservative views and believes, however, in his little world, there is absolutely no space for Any variation or other options. He is quite simply mean spirited man and an elitist.

He would have you believe that there is absolutely no one anywhere who can compare with his intellect and and philosophy.

He is opposed to freedom of speech unless you are speaking his views and Warrior dogma verbatim.

He will treat you as an equal human being until he gets out of you waht he wants; then he will ignore you and avoid you. This I know from first hand experience.

Answer

I believe you can find his thoughts at ultimatewarrior.com. He might not own that site, though {He is the SOLE owner of this site~ihgs3g3}. It's filled with bizarre {thought provoking~ihgs3g3} conservative rants and I always thought Warrior (his legal name) skewed "liberal" {this, of course, is what you get for "thinking"~ihgs3g3}. Maybe it's the guy who replace the original Ultimate Warrior when he was forced to retire. {Their has only been ONE Ultimate Warrior in wrestling history. That would be the former Jim Helwig, who now goes by the name "Warrior". The confusion came from his reermergence at Wrestlemania 8, during a match pitting Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice, with Papa Shango interfering, which would eventually start the feud between Warrior and Shango throughout '92-93. The Warrior was significantly skinnier than everyone remembered him, and has cut his hair and died it darker. Again: THEIR WAS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN ONLY ONE ULTIMATE WARRIOR, PORTRAYED BY ONE MAN.~ihgs3g3}

Answer

It's amazing to me how frequently talked about this whole thing is still this day. People always ask is there two Ultimate Warriors, or if the first one died how did he?....etc. I met Sting a while back when The Ultimate Warrior tried to make a return in WCW and they were grooming a Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior rematch from Wrestlemania 6 (too bad they failed miserably, because the match sucked.) and he told me that that is just some stupid story that started somewhere to increase his myth and higher than life persona. That of which being two of them and one of which dying at some point. I've never seen any formal document written up about this either in all these years, if it is true the WWF has it under lock and key somewhere.

He (Sting) claimed to me that the guy that is The Ultimate Warrior now is the same guy he entered the business with origianlly way back in the early to mid 80's as the Blade Runners. He said that's Rock Justice indeed (Ultimate Warrior's original wrestling name). Now, I guess it's always possible to question if Sting was being serious or not, he may have been obligated to keep his mouth shut about the whole thing, who knows. However, when I met Jim Hellwig (Ultimate Warrior) when he was signing first copies of his comic book back in the mid 90's I asked him the same thing, and he claimed he is the only Ultimate Warrior that has ever been. I remember when he came into the business and if there truly are two Ultimate Warrior's then they must be twins, because I don't see any noticeable difference between them. The only thing that has changed about the Ultimate Warrior consistently through the years is his different hair do's and hair colors seemingly through every televised episode in a week.

Answer

The Ultimate Warrior surfaced twice in WCW {The Ultimate Warrior resurfaced once in WCW~ihgs3g3}- the first time was after he had left WWF -he was brought in as the "Renegade Warrior"{this is not true. Research it, if you must~ihgs3g3} -that lasted oh about 2 episode editions of TBS' WCW saturday evening show then he left. Back then there was no internet and if you didn't live in Atlanta then you probably didn't know. Because the story line was going on WCW had a lesser known wrestler with the same long hair take the part and he would shake his head and hair so much that you couldn't see his face -I guess that was so the fans would not immediately recognize the difference. {The Ultimate Warrior never came into WCW as "The Renegade Warrior...not even for two episodes. He only came into WCW ONCE, as "The Warrior", during his famous 10 minute+ speech directed at Hollywood Hogan during WCW Monday Nitro. The Renegade was a cheap imitation created by Eric Bischoof to simulate something which was once great in the wrestling industry~ihgs3g3} The "Renegade Warrior" stayed in WCW and shortened the name to just "the Renegade". He was a bottom-to midcard wrestler {midcard...he held the World Television Title for many months in WCW. Dont take anything away from the man just because Eric Bischoff chose to use him in this poor carnation. The man could wrestle. And for the record, "The Renegade" existed in WCW on his own merits, many months before Eric Bischoof decided to have him be a mock Ultimate Warrior, in order to coax the real Warrior out of retirement *Praise The Lord it worked*~ihgs3g3} who commited suicide years later.That is where the myth of the 2 warriors and the warior dying comes about {this is not where the myth comes about. I explained where the myth came about in a previous side-quote~ihgs3g3}. When Monday Nitro came about {WCW Monday Nitro had been in existence since 1994, before The Warrior reemerged on Nitro in 1998~ihgs3g3} The Ultimate Warrior came back to fight "Hollywood Hogan". One of the first things "the warrior" said in WCW was directed to Sting in reference to them starting together and where their careers had led them, " ...it's interesting to see how far a little paint took us...". The Ultimate Warrior was Sting's partner back in the UWF when they were the Blade Runners and prior to that The Ultimate Warrior was "The Dingo Warrior" in the Dallas based territory of WCCW.

Answer

The Warrior has been retired from wrestling since late 98.

Answer

The WWE made a movie about him missing. I got two words. He didn't want to do a video with them so now they made up information about him missing

Answer

The quitter is home. {I wasnt aware that retiring from wrestling because you are tired of the crappiness of the booking agents (wrestlers themselves), the bureaucracy of the business at that time, and because some JABRONI named Eric Bischoff, doesnt wanna pay you the duckets you so RIGHTFULLY deserve...constitutes someone being a "quitter"~ihgs3g3}

Answer

This is a case of Vince's greed. He could not control The Ultimate Warrior and he would not pay him what he was worth, so The Warrior told Vince what he could do with himself. It was The Warriors energy and personality that made the character. You know wrestlers don't get paid what they are worth, while Vince gets richer and richer. How much is enough Vince? Greedy bastard. Now that he pretty much owns it all he probably pays his wrestlers minimum wage. It's ok. Karma will someday catch up with you Vince. What goes around comes around. You gotta admire The Warrior. Most everyone that has every stood up to Vince over the years has come crawling back. While The Warrior watches and laughs from parts unknown and the legend of The Warrior lives forever! In your face Vince. It's not The Warrior that quit. Vince took his ball and went home. Remember, it's not you that built the WWE Vince, it is the wrestlers and the fans.

But like all empires, the WWE will one day burn to the ground and all the warriors of the world will piss on the ashes. Vince, you are an evil SOB and I hate you. And Warrior, You are one of the best wrestlers of all time. One of a kind. Screw the WWE Hall Of Fame! Who cares? The WWE Hall Of Fame is just another example of Vince's ego. You are one of elite. You have not given in and sold out to Vince All Mighty. You are beyond myth or legend. You are untouchable. You are THE warrior and even though I miss you I respect you and your descision and respect what you stand for.

A true Warrior Fan.

{the ONLY answer that should be paid attention to in this entire column, outside of my sidequotes. From one Warrior fan to another...~ihgs3g3}

Answer

I have been a wrestling fan for numerous years and many wrestlers have sadly fallen. Their death have taken them no matter what fashion. They lived a life as a human first and a wrestler second, and that should count for something. I read the Web site of the Ultimate Warrior and although he states that he stands for justice, there is no justice in mocking death or a person's own personal battle. Warrior went through his own battle, which did not include drugs but in any case each person fights a different battle and sometimes loses. I am a great fan of the Ultmate Warrior, the fictional character that I used to see on T.V. Many people feel that he died a long time ago. In some sense, The Ultiamte Warrior did die and the man behind the mask lives in some state in his warrior estate. The man known as Warrior is not the wreslter from WWF or WCW, but someone who is still fighting his own battles. The kind of battles after the dust has settled. The what if and what could have been thoughts run through his head every time he sleeps and wakes. He is a man with bitterness and anger over his lifes experiences. He forgets that is what life is about, experience. It's what makes us the people we become. It's unfortuante that I am guilty of being one of those fans who want him to run to the ring and shake the ropes in his head banging fashion. After reading his Web site, it is official the Warrior no longer lives. The only thing that remains his a memories of a wrestler that left fans wanting more and a man wanting to claim the past he never got a chance to have.

Answer

He demanded more money, and had no real passion for the business. He also tested positive for peformance enhancing drugs in the early 90's which led to a suspension.

Answer

in Santa Fe. he retried 1998

Answer

He was a nutcase who on many occasions was advertised to be at an event and was a no show. he was fired from wwe 3 times {Two times~ihgs3g3}. but due to the fans he was brought back. he was hated by most that worked with him. watch his dvd ppl no one liked him {The DVD this gentleman speaks of, "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior", is one of the most biased, one-sided, integrity DEVOID pieces of garbage, that Vince McMahon has ever commissioned. Dont believe me? Check it for yourself. If you want REAL Warrior commentary, check the link to his ONLY shoot interview on prowrestlingillustrated.com, or ultimatewarrior.com~ihgs3g3}.
