Mine had a small rubber plug on the outside, lower edge of the unit.
Make sure the unit is slightly tilted back in the window so it can drain, if the unit is still leaking you may need to remove the unit and cover to clean out the drain it may have a blocked drain.

Not by yourself, and not a window unit at all.
You just want to make sure the drain is working so that the case doesn't fill with condensation.

make sure unit is off! remove the drain plug at the rear centre of unit, let all water drain then plug it back up. above the drain plug the is a mini drawer type thing, pull it open and slowly pour 800 ml of cool water in there. close the drawer and switch the power on. may take a little while but will work very well. if the red light at top of unit ever comes on, switch off unit and repeat above procedure. cheers.
