I had this problem when i hooked up my aftermarket head unit to make sure the amp ground is tied in there cause if its not then it will turn on but not play music. But the amp is under the right panel. you have to pop off the little plastic rivets in order to do this. Its rather easy to do really. One thing make sure you put them back by starting at the front and workin your way back or it will screw up.
I belive it is in the rear under rear cargo area. also check the side panels in the rear... Good LUCK

Has it always been like this or not? If it is, then it is not really a problem. It is how the stereo was installed. An stereo can be installed to be turned on whether the engine is on or off. If the stereo cannot be turned off at all, then you have a problem with your stereo.

I'm guessing your stereo is aftermarket. If so, then whoever installed it did it wrong or tried something tricky.
