On a 2003 Kia Optima it is located inside the timimg belt cover. Jack the car up on the passenger side front and take the tire off and you should see a pulley with two belts on it and the pulley should have four gold bolts in it size 12 metric take the belts off and the pulley to get to the lower part of the timing cover and the sensor is right inside the timing cover.
