Remove the #8 x 1/2" screw from the back of the monitor. Remove the two screws from the back cover of the monitor and remove the back cover. Push the two old batteries out of the clips and insert two new batteries. Batteries are L1154 watch batteries.
Adjust the air gap between the left pedal frame magnet and reed switch until there is a 1/8 inch gap. Retighten the screw on the reed switch after adjusting the air gap.
Mine is one of the first & while there is a screw holding the timer to the frame, the other 2 are pop rivets, not screws. I took a drill & drilled them out. The batteries are meant to be replaced as they have a cage type of mechanism around them. I bent one side up & now have to find batteries. The batteries are button 357A. I figure if new batteries don't work, I'm only out the cost of the batteries as it wasn't working anyway.
I cannot open the little box on the cardio Weslo Glide I'm afraid I'm going to break you got an easy way to take it apart
In the timer itself.mine has 4 screws to open. 2 at the top & 2 on the bottom. Use a small Phillips Screw driver. The batteries are on the circuit breaker. Top right.
