Where is the fuel filter located on a 2002 Chrysler Sebring?

It's inside the gas tank.... Horrible as that sounds... be happy it's only a 15 gallon tank... Run it until it's almost empty and then drain the rest... You don't have to REMOVE the tank, but you do have to loosen it to remove the pickup unit (that houses the filter).

This assembly runs about $250.00 - from any parts store... much higher, I'm guessing, from the dealer.

I don't think this is correct, but I have an early build 2000 that has some 99 parts and designs on it. The fuel filter on my 2000 sebring CONVERTIBLE is tucked up next to the tank towards the passenger side rear wheel. I also was able to pick up the fuel filter from Advance Auto Parts for $25.00

In 2001 Chrysler did begin to put the fuel filters inside the gas tanks...I guess they wanted to make one more thing more difficult to access for us lay people.
